Our clinic opened our doors in 2017 and have proudly served our region through skilled interventions since then. This clinic helps children develop, grow, and flourish. 

Love Therapy Services believes that all children learn best through play. By playing muscles strengthen, imaginations are developed, and social skills are established. Children are naturally motivated to have fun, so it makes our therapy sessions enjoyable and very effective. We also have a host of facilities to help teach children how to do everyday tasks, what we call activities of daily living.

Speech Language Pathologist

Love Therapy Services is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). The SLP is responsible for helping people communicate and swallow appropriately in order to help them achieve their greatest functional potential. In general, their duties include evaluating patients, diagnosing disorders than can impact swallowing and speaking and providing treatment for their patients. 

Other, more specific, responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating levels of swallowing, speech, and language difficulty.

  • Identifying treatment options.

  • Creating and carrying out individualized treatment plans addressing specific functional needs.

  • Teaching patients how to make sounds while improving their voices and maintaining fluency.

  • Helping individuals improve sentence structure and vocabulary used in written and oral language.

  • Working with adults and children (primarily children) in developing and strengthening muscles used to swallow.

  • Counseling individuals and families on ways to cope with swallowing and communication disorders.

  • Supervision of speech language pathology assistants.

  • Meeting with other members of the therapy team to discuss patient needs/goals.

  • Administrative tasks including keeping accurate records of initial evaluations, diagnoses, treatment progress and any treatment plan notes.

  • Ability to communicate and work with Occupational Therapy Staff.

Occupational Therapist

Love Therapy Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist who has a passion for helping people. In general, we are seeking someone to assist patients as they regain the ability to perform activities of daily living, have the capacity to be a motivational figure, demonstrate skilled patience, naturally have a nurturing personality, and have the ability to solve problems independently.

Occupational Therapists will perform various tasks that help patients get back to  or learn to do things that are important to them. 


Duties and Responsibilities of the job may include: 

  • Preforming evaluations and re evaluations to establish goals, qualify patients for therapy, to include both standardized and clinical observations.

  • Supervise and provide guidance for COTAs.

  • Partnering with clients and families to formulate and implement individualized goals with focused, targeted, and measurable outcomes.

  • Providing direct client care in collaboration with clients and families to plan, implement, and evaluate care.

  • Ensuring that clients are receiving effective and efficient care.

  • Utilizing research to formulate and implement evidence-based practice.

  • Problem-solving with members of other disciplines (Speech therapy).

  • Documenting workload statistics according to the Medicaid guidelines.

  • Writing and filing reports on an electronic health record as required.

Requirements: 

Must have a valid Texas License in occupational therapy, a degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelors/Masters/Doctorate) and have passed the NBCOT. 

 

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Love Therapy Services is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who has a passion for helping people. In general we are seeking someone to assist patients as they regain the ability to perform activities of daily living, have the capacity to be a motivational figure, demonstrate skilled patience, naturally have a nurturing personality, and have the ability to solve problems independently.
